Thank you for your interest in rescuing an animal with RARE!

Please fill out the application for adopting or fostering a pet. This application is not only to gain information for the adoption process, it is to help us match you/your family with the right fit AND to help you/your family to decide what you are really looking for in a companion animal in terms of characteristics and amount of resources you are able to dedicate to them. Please fill the application out completely as possible. Please provide yourself with at least three to five minutes to complete the application. It is important to us the we match the right animal(s) with the right people. The more information you provide, the quicker and easier it will be for us to find the right match for you/your family.

If you do not currently have any other animals, will you provide the animal you adopt with flea/tick prevention? Heartworm prevention is obtained through prescription only and must be purchased through your Veterinarian.
Cats can also contract heartworm disease. Although they are not always the best hosts, they should be kept on heartworm prevention if they are ever outside or are around dogs that are not on heartworm prevention.

***PLEASE READ*** Thank you for taking the time to complete the application. We need the information provided in this application to help determine the right match for each animal and each family. We are an all volunteer, Non-profit rescue and we have many animals in our care. We are working jobs as well. Please allow us at least 48 hours to respond to your application. If you do not hear from us, you may call 615-330-4769 to check on the status of your application. If we receive several applications on one animal, we may not have the time and resources to respond to every inquiry, but we do our best and we try to update the animals immediately when they are adopted or pending adoption and no longer available. Our adoption process is about finding the best fit for each animal and each family. If we receive multiple applications for one animal, the best application will be selected. Having a fenced yard is not required for all dogs, but will be preferred for most. Only one application is needed, even if you are interested in meeting more than one of our adoptables. We appreciate your time to provide us with the information needed to help us find your new family member!
